Deba is a knife with a thicker than usual blade and very durable, which is designed for heavy work. In Japan, Deba is primarily used for processing raw fish: gutting, removing scales, removing fish heads and piercing bones and smaller bones. If necessary, it can also handle chopping chicken bones.
Senzo Japanese series knives are made of durable and sharp single-layer molybdenum-vanadium steel (58 HRC). The light magnolia wood handle is laconic, as befits Japanese knives, and is suitable for both right- and left-handed users. Senzo Japanese knives are available at an affordable price level for an authentic Japanese knife.
For those new to Japanese-style knives, we highly recommend the Senzo Japanese series of cutting tools. It may happen that you will like them so much because of their simplicity and quality that you won't need fancy cutting tools!
