The blade is 63 layers damascus w/Japanese high carbon stainless steel core, HRC:60±0.5, high quality material proudly made in Japan. High grade sharpness lasts long time. The sharpness will be far beyond your imagination. We realized outstanding sharpness because of sophisticated technique backed by an abundant of experience and knowledge accumulated over many years.
The classy octagonal handle “八角柄 HAKKAKU-E” is polished fascinatingly elegant. The handle end is engraved KANETSUNE SEKI brand logo mark “KUMADORI”. The handles are made of red plywood w/black micarta rings.
The craftmen believe that his perfectionism about making kitchen knives will give users deep impression. Craftmen who inherits SEKI cutlery’s history of about 800years developed skills and sensibility by strenuous efforts every day. We are proud to work with those craftmen in Seki-city, Japan.
